Cool Tool - The Humble Bundle

THE HUMBLE BUNDLE?
------------------------------------------

The Humble Bundle is an organization aimed at Helping Charities, as well as providing the public with quality, low priced goods. Popular for selling Digital Copies of games at a low price, has come to sell other goods too, such as books and mobile games. The Humble Bundle started in 2010, founded by Jeff Rosen.

According to Wikipedia, Jeff's "inspiration c[ame] to him through similar sales of bundle packages on the Steam platform."

Steam is a game platform, not held for charity purposes. Rather than selling games at a lower price, Steam is a platform used for PC game variety. Steam provides a selection of all major PC titles, and many indie titles to boot. However, Steam does have bundles too. It provides sales for games, and sale bundles, making Steam a very popular Game Platform.

One thing that is unique about the Humble Bundle experience is that it offers a Pick-You-Own-Price feature. This means that if you find a game, or bundle, on their site, you can pick your price! The total will then be split among Developer, Humble Bundle, and Charity of choice. Certain bundles will require a set amount of funds before a game can be redeemed, but you can pay more if desired.

SO, WHAT DO I DO?
------------------------------------------

If your a gamer, or simply a book worm, you can use the Humble Bundle and feel good about it. For instance, on the date this article was made, the Humble Bundle is now providing a Star Wars bundle. You can start out by redeeming games through Steam, but by providing a set donation, can get $137 worth of games.

Or, of course, get some books with the Choose-Your-Price Feature. Overall, it's a useful tool, and operates with a good cause.
